Tickets for the event, priced at £50 per person, are available to be booked online now by visiting .uk, with all proceeds going to the Mose Masoe Foundation. Special guests will also be in attendance, including Mose’s close friend and former Robins captain Weller Hauraki, as well as a whole host of fellow former Red & White stars. The ball has been signed by every club captain in the league, and will be walked out at the Hull Derby between Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull FC at Hull College Craven Park the night before the gin launch event. This is just the latest in a string of fundraising efforts for the 2014 Super League Grand Final winner, having recently taken part in the ‘Walk & Talk’ event, which saw a Rugby Ball, signed by every club captain in the Australian NRL, arrive in the UK and be walked to every Super League stadium in the UK. The Foundation aims to provide relief of financial and mental hardship amongst current and former rugby league stars, as well as raising awareness of spinal injuries and supporting ex-players who have suffered from life-changing spinal injuries, which has affected their welfare and quality of life. Mose still has no sensation or dexterity in his hands, can still walk only a few unaided steps and any brief activity leaves him shattered. The Mose Masoe Foundation, which was established firstly to support the Samoan international following the career-ending spinal cord injury which he suffered when playing for Hull Kingston Rovers last January, leaving him paralysed. The ‘Mose10’ gin has been created by the Hull-based Humber Street Distillery, who create their products on site in the heart of Hull’s urban hub on Humber Street. Prizes in the auction include some money-can’t-buy signed Rugby League merchandise, tickets to the Betfred Super League Grand Final and Magic Weekend, experiences and vouchers. Tickets are priced at £50 per person, with all guests getting their own bottle of the limited edition ‘Mose10’ Gin, as well as welcome drinks, a two-course meal, live entertainment, appearances from rugby league personalities and the chance to take part in a live auction for some top prizes, with all proceeds being donated to the Mose Masoe Foundation.
